Who we are
This policy explains how ZeroSet handles personal data when you visit this website or get in touch with us. ZeroSet, ZeroSet Studio and ZeroSet Labs are trading names of Scalesys SRL, a company registered in Romania under registration number J40/XXXXX/20XX, tax ID (CUI) ROXXXXXXXX, with its registered office at registered address, Bucharest, Romania (“ZeroSet”, “we”, “us”).
We are the data controller for the personal data described here. For anything about this policy or your data, email hello@zeroset.co.
What we collect
We keep this site deliberately light. We don’t run advertising trackers or analytics, and we don’t ask you to create an account.
Information you give us
- When you email us: your name, email address, company and whatever you include in your message or attachments.
- When you book a call: the details you enter in the booking form, such as name, email, company and notes about your project. Bookings are handled by Cal.com.
- When we work together: contact and billing details for the people we deal with at your company.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: when your browser loads this site, it connects to the services that deliver our pages, fonts and video. Those services receive your IP address, browser type and the page requested, as any web server does.
- Site preferences: your light or dark theme and your cookie choice are saved in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers them. They stay on your device and are never sent to us. See Cookies and local storage.
- Language: the site reads your browser’s language setting to show you the matching version. This happens in your browser and nothing is stored or sent to us.
How we use it and why
Under the GDPR we need a legal basis for each use of personal data. Ours are:

We don’t sell personal data, use it for automated decisions that affect you, or add you to a marketing list without asking.
International transfers
Some of these providers are based in, or process data in, countries outside the European Economic Area, including the United States. Where that happens, we rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for certified providers, or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, so your data keeps an equivalent level of protection.
Client project materials
When clients share material for a project, such as brand assets, footage, customer data or briefs, we process any personal data in it on the client’s instructions and on their behalf. In that role we act as a data processor, and the terms are set out in a data processing agreement with the client, not in this policy.
The same applies to systems we build or run for clients, such as automations and AI voice agents that handle their customers’ data. That includes material processed with generative production tools for ZeroSet Labs and ZeroSet Studio work. We agree which tools may be used, and how, with each client before a project starts.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don’t become a project: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
- Client and project correspondence: for the length of the relationship and up to 5 years after it ends, in case of questions or disputes.
- Invoices and accounting records: for as long as Romanian tax and accounting law requires.
- Technical logs held by our providers: according to their own retention periods, usually a short time.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your data, where we no longer have a reason to keep it;
- restrict how we use it, or object to uses based on our legitimate interests;
- send your data to you or another organisation in a portable format.
Email hello@zeroset.co and we’ll reply within one month. We may need to confirm your identity first.
You can also complain to the Romanian data protection authority, ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro), or to the authority in the EU country where you live or work. We’d appreciate the chance to sort it out with you first.
Security
We use reputable providers, limit access to personal data to the people who need it, and protect our accounts with strong authentication. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data and will act quickly if something goes wrong.
Children
This site and our services are for businesses. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, for example by adding analytics to this site, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes affecting clients, we’ll also tell them directly.
